"No that is ... I love to see you happy ..."

[The post that follows is a bit 'a delusion. The fact that yesterday was not exactly a beautiful day, amplifies the few good moments that can happen on a day like that.]

I have seen the end of Gilmore Girls . Extremely late, I admit. Not only because I follow other series but also because I was afraid how it would end. I also tend to hate Rory and Logan. Not to mention Christopher. I avoid going into details, but in fact Luke and Lorelai are the characters that I was more interested in the series. One because it is very nice, both ways quickly, and because it is a good, a bit 'awkward at times, one that is given to do for everyone. The other because ... Well, that kind of woman that one might fall in love. I'm not talking about outer beauty, although it is a nice woman, but the character of Lorelai has features that embody many of the things that usually I particularly appreciate in a girl. Ok, the point is that however the series is over and each time it happens is a bit 'the end of an era, if you will. That way, it sounds like an expression out of place. But if you stop to think about it are seven seasons, seven years. Of course, with DVD you can put up with the seven seasons in the time frame in which a single season is airing on television. But until a few years ago, it was not normal to find television shows on DVD. The only was to follow as the television required. Nearly ten years of Friends , five (actually eight or nine, whereas the transmission to sob) of Ally McBeal , five of Alias . Seven of Gilmore Girls (which here in Italy is six years, but still we are there). There is talk however years. 's so exaggeration to speak of the end of an era? That 's what gives you a number that a film can never give you: follow over the years. It 'a kind of loyalty, and that's what I like. Of course, not all series are worthy of being followed, but those who learn to love you bring them back for a while '. And now even Gilmore Girls is over. It made me company in good times and in those dark, like yesterday, and as always gave me a smile. Do not take more coffee from Luke, do not eat anything cooked by Sookie, I do not sorbirò plus hysteria of Paris, will no longer participate in town meetings of Stars Hollow, no more Friday night dinners, no more hide-called Mrs. Kim under the floorboards, not sleep over at Dragonfly Inn. And no more Lorelai. End of an era. But for once, once , things end as you hope to finish.

[I like this habit of using square brackets. The post title comes from one of the final phrases of the last episode of season seven.]

Graco Snugride Replacement Cover

Not as good as the book

Sometimes I write reviews for HeavyWorlds.com . One of the CDs that I received from this new review is a monumental work of The Tangent. I will not go into details, because this review has yet to exit the portal. I just wanted to advise you to give it a listen, because you'll probably find an unknown world, a reminder of a way to make music that no longer exists. The group makes the analog sound one of his strengths, going to rediscover the kind of music, progressive rock, which was then quietly considered pop music without any negative connotation. Not As Good As The Book consists of two CDs and a novel. The story is packed with humor, passion for music that was and sci-fi elements. We just think that playing by the protagonist of Relayer Yes because of the destruction of the earth. Dave, this is the name of the protagonist, wakes up, literally on display along with his discography in a museum, 88000 years after Venus. A group of religious fanatics going to use this album for Yes to destroy a continent on Mars. Fortunately, a group of lovers of progressive rock, known as Schiphol, plotting in the shadows that does not happen. Dave will join them to prevent another catastrophe. The moral seems to be more or less concealed that by which they do many projects in life, then, for one reason or another, do not realize. And the future does not seem to be as nice as we expected. If you're just fans of those groups that between the end of the sixties and the mid-seventies churn out masterpieces with the mimeograph machine, you should not miss this album. If it were released in those years, today we'll talk about it as a benchmark for the genre. If you are remotely fascinated by all those instruments synth forerunners of the modern, made of knobs, wires to attach and detach, oscillators, this album is for you. For other listening is still recommended to discover what made that music and magic which is now being permanently lost. Some, however, it jealously guards the secret. And The Tangent is one of them.
