"No that is ... I love to see you happy ..."
[The post that follows is a bit 'a delusion. The fact that yesterday was not exactly a beautiful day, amplifies the few good moments that can happen on a day like that.]
I have seen the end of Gilmore Girls . Extremely late, I admit. Not only because I follow other series but also because I was afraid how it would end. I also tend to hate Rory and Logan. Not to mention Christopher. I avoid going into details, but in fact Luke and Lorelai are the characters that I was more interested in the series. One because it is very nice, both ways quickly, and because it is a good, a bit 'awkward at times, one that is given to do for everyone. The other because ... Well, that kind of woman that one might fall in love. I'm not talking about outer beauty, although it is a nice woman, but the character of Lorelai has features that embody many of the things that usually I particularly appreciate in a girl. Ok, the point is that however the series is over and each time it happens is a bit 'the end of an era, if you will. That way, it sounds like an expression out of place. But if you stop to think about it are seven seasons, seven years. Of course, with DVD you can put up with the seven seasons in the time frame in which a single season is airing on television. But until a few years ago, it was not normal to find television shows on DVD. The only was to follow as the television required. Nearly ten years of Friends , five (actually eight or nine, whereas the transmission to sob) of Ally McBeal , five of Alias . Seven of Gilmore Girls (which here in Italy is six years, but still we are there). There is talk however years. 's so exaggeration to speak of the end of an era? That 's what gives you a number that a film can never give you: follow over the years. It 'a kind of loyalty, and that's what I like. Of course, not all series are worthy of being followed, but those who learn to love you bring them back for a while '. And now even Gilmore Girls is over. It made me company in good times and in those dark, like yesterday, and as always gave me a smile. Do not take more coffee from Luke, do not eat anything cooked by Sookie, I do not sorbirò plus hysteria of Paris, will no longer participate in town meetings of Stars Hollow, no more Friday night dinners, no more hide-called Mrs. Kim under the floorboards, not sleep over at Dragonfly Inn. And no more Lorelai. End of an era. But for once, once , things end as you hope to finish.
[I like this habit of using square brackets. The post title comes from one of the final phrases of the last episode of season seven.]
